The Hanhiniity workshop's WILDLIFE HATCHET is handmade and thus represents an increasingly rare blacksmithing tradition. The blade is made of laurel steel and the handle is carved from birch sapwood. The pommel of the shaft is shaped so that the axe stays in the hand even in winter with a gloves on. The blade is protected by a leather steel guard, making it easy to pack the axe in a rucksack for a camping trip.
The axe works well for chopping firewood but also for carving. In addition to hikers, this axe is also a great tool for log builders.
The overall length of the axe is about 50 cm and the weight is about 1 kg.
